- Requirements
To be eligible to participate in this program, students must:
- Have been born in 1997 or 1998.
- Currently be high school students.
- Not have taken part in the previous Ruta Quetzal expedition.
- Have a Spanish or US passport.
- Have an advanced level of Spanish.
- Have an excellent academic record.
- Be in excellent physical condition.
- Be able to get along with young people of different cultures and religious beliefs.
Duration: The expedition will have a duration period of five weeks, usually in the months of June and July.
Number of scholarships: Six scholarships will be awarded to US high school students.
